SA Breweries gave Viljoenskroon Hospice a donation of R6000,00 to start the bead project in March 2001

PROGRESS

Since its inception, twelve of our care-giver were trained and are able to make badges proficiently. In the near future we hope to encourage and train those patients who feel they would like to participate in the project .this giving them a sense of self-worth, pride in achievement and a small income, the therapeutic value to them will be immense.

GOOD PRACTICE

On the 25 and 26 of September 2001, ADAM from the Thaba Nchu branch of NAPWA did a Workshop on BEAD PROJECTS. This workshop helped us to improve the quality of our products and encourage us to venture into new territory with regard to our product.

IMPLEMENTATION

The project is already implemented and running, however our biggest problem is in Marketing and designing new products. Advanced training to discover new and different methods of beading and where to access this training is also very important.

STOCK

Stock is bought from the different suppliers. There is a small amount of stock in place and we continue to make items on request.

Postage will be included in the price of the article.
